About Us
At Canaan Kids Artspace, we’re on a mission to spark creativity, nurture community, and promote environmental stewardship.
Through a mix of structured and open-ended activities centered around upcycled materials, we inspire young creators to think sustainably, connect with others, and express themselves joyfully. We provide mobile art programming at various locations, and will be opening our own brick and mortar location in North Canaan, CT in July.
Our Philosophy
Creativity is a fundamental part of being human. We believe art should be accessible to all and created with care for the environment. We focus on making art with children that emphasizes exploration, self-discovery, and the joy of creativity itself, placing value on the act of making rather than the final product.
Our Team
Breetel Graves
Breetel brings 20 years of experience working with children in diverse settings, including daycare, nannying, and leading art workshops. As a mother of two, a talented artist, and a passionate creator, she combines her expertise and creativity to inspire young minds.
